The main operational defects of GTE components are corrosion-erosion damages, fatigue cracks, burnouts, mechanical damages. Technologies existing at LLC “Paton Turbine Technologies” make it possible to eliminate the most defects, providing high quality of repair and ensure subsequent operational reliability of GTE components.

Corrosion-erosion damagesCorrosion-erosion damages
They are the result of impact of gas turbine fuel combustion materials and contaminated gas flow. This type of defect is eliminated with the use of high-temperature brazing by multicomponent composite solder.



Corrosion-fatigue cracksCorrosion-fatigue cracks
They are the result of thermal stresses that apparently are caused by operating environment of the product and the processes of the base alloy aging. This type of defect is eliminated with the use of high-temperature brazing by multicomponent composite solders.

BurnoutsBurnouts
Burnouts are caused by corrosion-erosion impact of fuel combustion materials at high temperature that results in degradation and subsequent failure of the base material. They are eliminated by the joint use of TIG build-up and high-temperature brazing.

Mechanical damagesMechanical damages
They are caused by interaction of the product base material with the other turbine components or foreign bodies in the process of operation. Depending on the nature of the damage manual grinding, build-up, high-temperature brazing or their combinations are used.
